Alcoholics Anonymous is a group of people who share experience, strength and hope with each other in order to solve their common problem with alcoholism or alcohol abuse, and then to assist others to do the same. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Also known as the AA or Al-Anon.
